Unit Description:
Sodexo, in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a General Manager/ Chef Manager for a busy multi-site corporate dining account. This is a multi client subsidy account serving a client population of 1400. $830K in volume. This account is comprised of a multi tenant building. This is a true hands on role managing a staff of 6. Breakfast, lunch, and some catering. This role will report into a General Manager at another site. Strong customer service and client relations skills. Food safety, HACCP, supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Great opportunity to gain management experience and build on your culinary skills.
Position Summary:
Senior-most person assigned to a one client account. Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. Hires and trains unit personnel. This is a single incumbent position for a small account where there is no Chef. Reports to DM.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
